It is with both great excitement and some sadness that we introduce TORCH, an anti-fa network. Out of the old Anti-Racist Action Network rises a new, militant anti-fascist network. This isn’t a fracture or schism coming from internal strife but the result of the realization that the blueprint laid out in a time before the internet no longer serves as a sufficient model for combating fascism. We acknowledge that many of our comrades have lost much, some their lives, under the banner of ARA. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten and their fight is still our fight. Because of changes in the current political climate as well as our own political development, our understanding of what fascism is and how it relates to other political entities such as the working class, capital, and the state has evolved. We wanted to build a new network that fit our needs and politics. One that is more relevant and appealing to a new generation of anti-fascists.TORCH Points of Unity:
1. We disrupt fascist and far right organizing and activity.
2. We don’t rely on the cops or courts to do our work for us. This
doesn’t mean we never go to court, but the cops uphold white supremacy
and the status quo. They attack us and everyone who resists oppression.
We must rely on ourselves to protect ourselves and stop the fascists.
3. We oppose all forms of oppression and exploitation. We intend to do
the hard work necessary to build a broad, strong movement of oppressed
people centered on the working class against racism, sexism, nativism,
anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination
against the disabled, the oldest, the youngest, and the most oppressed
people. We support abortion rights and reproductive freedom. We want a
classless, free society. We intend to win!
4. We hold ourselves accountable personally and collectively to live up to our ideals and values.
5. We not only support each other within the network, but we also
support people outside the network who we believe have similar aims or
principles. An attack against one is an attack against all.

Contrary to recent International news Greece’s neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn is NOT setting up shop
in Chicago. We tricked tricked them. Their vaunted Chicago expansion was in fact an Anti-Racist Action intelligence operation. We are releasing some of the fruits of that operation now.
This release is in three parts:
1. As a claim of a small victory in our ongoing struggle against fascism, racism, and anti-immigrant hatred.
2. To release documentation on leaders, members, and supporters of Golden Dawn in North America, Greece, and wherever else they maybe hiding.
3. To call for others to flood the Golden Dawn Headquarters and New York branch in an effort not only to destroy Golden Dawn’s ability to grow, but to destroy the credibility of anyone who might want to sincerely help them.
Over the past two and a half months, Anti-Racist Action has been involved in a quiet campaign to stop the nationalist organization from expanding in North America. One of our goals, which we achieved with great success, was to gain intelligence on members of New York’s Golden Dawn chapter, their supporters, and members within the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York who might be sympathetic to their views.
We chose Chicago as a fictitious base for our operation because of its strong antifascist presence and the massive Greek population affected by the diaspora in and around the city. To us, it seemed highly probable that this may be one of the next major battlegrounds between Golden Dawn and anti-fascists in the US, and we wanted to lay claim before they could.
One of the main ways to halt any nazi organization from expanding, is by causing them to doubt any networking request they may receive from abroad. For this, we need your help. Here’s what we did, and what you can do, too, to stop them.

The first step was rather easy. Because we’d been watching the white nationalist website Stormfront for since its inception, we knew that there were several members who were sympathetic to, even envious of, Golden Dawn’s approach to neo-Nazism. Several of these members were of Greek descent, and some resided in Greece. We assumed that someone had to know something. It was merely a matter of picking the slow antelope from the herd.
After a dozen or so posts, we gained trust from Panos8814, a member who had posted a translation of the Golden Dawn manifesto. We offered to help with future translations, and he gave us a contact to Patreus, another member, who was more connected with the organization in Greece. Patreus and Panos8814 divulged important information without ever meeting face to face, to an anonymous person with a four day old account. This is a major fail for Golden Dawn.
Patreus told us that he would keep us updated on any important news regarding Golden Dawn in the United States. Panos8814 and Patreus both encouraged us to contact the organization through the main website, and Panos gave us step-by-step instructions on what to say and who to contact. This exposed their security methods and people in Greece to us as well. Patreus mentioned that the International chapters function autonomously from the main Greek organization, but that it still needed to go through Greece’s Golden Dawn.
We told Golden Dawn that we intended to start a chapter in Chicago and wanted help with the protocol on how do to that correctly. Within days, we had an email from Golden Dawn headquarters.
In our first email from Golden Dawn, we were told to contact Emmanouil Lallas, controller of New York Golden Dawn. We were given a Facebook account, email address, and phone number. Through his Facebook, we found that Lallas was friends with Demetrios Demetrios, the third vice president of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, though not with any of the other members of the board. After a couple web searches, we found that he had spoken at a workshop put on by the Federation in May 2012.
Over time Golden Dawn gave us critical information, which we used to locate it’s membership in the United States. Some of their membership is listed below. Feel free to discuss current events and race relations with them via phone, email, fax and in person. We hope that if we can flood Golden Dawn with fictitious chapter requests, they won’t know who to trust.

Jeffrey Stuart Burns (aka Thomas Stuart) from Wood River, IL would have you believe he’s a stand-up guy. He’s a devout Roman Catholic with nearly 2000 posts on forums.Catholic.com. He loves dogs, especially pits and shepherds. He works in private security. He listens to Christian music. He loves the outdoors. His favorite books are Sherlock Holmes, The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, and just near anything Ayn Rand ever wrote. He even smokes a pipe.
But there’s another side of Jeff. He’s the type of guy that dresses up like a Muslim for Halloween. He also is a forum moderator for world’s largest white supremacist website, Stormfront. He specializes in moderating conversations about white supremacy and religion. When it comes to keeping conversations about whether or not Jesus was Jewish civil and respectful, Jeff is your man. When you combine Jeff’s religious devotion with his perverse views about race you come up with an intense ideology:

The thing is: if mystical [white nationalism] is part of the path one is drawn to–it should be a DISCIPLINED walk, and not just a verbal or mental assent. I’m probably no model of that: the first rule of discipline is to establish a stable routine. Mine gets tossed every which way by nature of my work. Anyhow: respect and honor for Adolf Hitler is indeed something I affirm. [emphasis added]”

Besides being a Hitler loving national socialist, Jeff is also a member of Council of Conservative Citizens and American Third Position (screenshot). Jeff’s true unfulfilled ambition within the white supremacist community was to join Volksfront, a violent skinhead crew (screenshot) but failed to meet their physical requirrements.

To give him credit, he’s one of the few nazis I’ve encountered that has a strong enough grasp on political theory that he is capable of discerning the difference between Marxist-Leninism and anarcho-syndacalism. It’s also somehow refreshing to hear a fascist admit openly that they have no sentimental attachments to notions of equality or democracy.
Truly the “Overman” of the master race he’s considered to be within the white supremacist community, Jeff has been attending leadership retreats sponsored by Stormfront. Though you might not have heard of Bob Whitaker, if you’ve followed news coverage of the Tinley Park Five you’ve probably heard parroting of what white supremacists are now referring to as the “Bob Whitaker Mantra”:
Again referencing Stornfront’s [sic] recent Leadership Seminar: those who coin or appropriate a term first own it. It is very difficult to successfully re-capture or redefine a word the Enemy camp siezed [sic] first. “National Socialism” was an attempt to recapture the word ‘socialist’ for the Right, and it has only succeeded in the minds of most ordinary Americans in confounding Nazis with Communists. By the same token, we cannot re-define ‘racist’ as a badge of honor nor successfully abridge it into ‘racialist’. Commies coined the word and they own it. What we can do is throw the epithet back on them: “racism is code word for anti-White; anti-racism is code for White genocide. Our people are the ones who truly believe in diversity: our enemies want to destroy diversity through racial integration”. THAT is the Bob Whitaker “mantra”, and how we use it.

Jeffrey Burns and his cohorts are fascists in a very real and classical sense of the word. They are obviously racist and they know it.
