Biker Cops, Latino Proud Boys and the Struggle against Imperialism

In response to the anti-police uprisings that gripped the country in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis cops, reactionary forces regrouped into newer forms and old groups resurfaced.

In Central Texas a group calling itself Wind Therapy Freedom Riders – WTFR’s, for short – emerged as a leading pro-cop reactionary movement. Led by scammer Luis “Hollywood” Rodriguez, the group dubiously claims a nationwide membership of 800 but is primarily notable for their close ties to police.

They opposed demonstrations demanding justice for Mike Ramos, an Austinite murdered by APD, and received grateful handshakes and bottled water from the cops. They drew unwanted attention and bad publicity to the cops by being photographed alongside APD officers and Proud Boys like Christopher Ritchie.

Christopher Carl Young, Proud Boy and Neo-Nazi of Galt, CA

Odin, AKA Christopher Carl Young at a Sacramento rally 11/7/2020

Christopher Young has been front and center at many of the far-right rallies and events in Northern California since early this summer. Operating under the online pseudonym “Odin,” (his dog’s name) or “Odin Young,” he has affiliated himself with several far-right populist and supremacist groups including the California State Militia and the Central Valley Militia. Young is the Vice President of the Central Valley Proud Boys and has a Proud Boys tattoo on his right forearm. Young told J. On November 28 that he is a former Muslim and now Christian. However, several of Young’s tattoos signal a relationship to Paganism, as does the name he gave to his pet (Odin). Every single video on Young’s TikTok account is also centered around this theme. For more details on the overlap between certain pagan groups and fascism, see our article on a racist local pagan here.

The Poisonous Dregs of the Alt-Right Dump Themselves In Portland

On August 22, a group of far-right agitators held a “No To Marxism In America” rally in downtown PDX (coordinated with two other somewhat-more-innocuously-titled “Mother of All Back The Blue Rallies” intended to disguise the actual reactionary, and fascist rhetoric behind the events). This particular group of organizers is mostly a pathetic collection of rejects and cast-offs from various local far-right groups that have been staging violent incursions into Portland for years. Despite their overall lack of right-wing social capital, at last weekend’s downtown, this group proved themselves capable of often unprovoked, disproportionate, and potentially deadly violence, and they continue to pose a real threat to our community.

Whether it’s folks who learned about this event ahead of time and are already familiar with the assortment scumbags in attendance, or just passers-by who happen upon the rally and are disgusted by the racist and overtly reactionary rhetoric on display, people in Portland don’t let fascist organizing happen unchallenged and uncritiqued. By belief and by action, those attending this rally have chosen to position themselves in racist opposition to the movement for Black lives, and for that they should feel unwelcome wherever they are. They have also proven their enthusiasm to engage in reckless violence. But there is safety in numbers, so watch out and take care of those around you. Get together with friends and pack snacks, make signs, get familiar with who these people are. And don’t forget your mask!

Despite the fact that these organizers are largely ridiculed and despised even within their own movement, recent events have shown that they are hungry for violence and plan to take full advantage of the ongoing legacy of impunity offered by the state to far-right, fascist, and neo-Nazi agitators who have spent the past three years invading Portland intent on harassing and assaulting people.

White Supremacist Proud Boys Assault Antifascist Dance Party, Get More Than They Bargained For

On September 15, 2018 Major League Liberty (MLL), an alt-right lunatic fringe propaganda outlet operating on the agenda of spreading conspiracy theories while attempting to normalize racism and ultra-nationalism, held a permitted event  “Rally to Protest Internet Censorship of Conservatives” at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.
The event was organized by local fascist shithead “Louie Huey”, we don’t know his real name yet, but he’s down with the rest of the MLL clowns, and up until August 29th, was a member of the Colorado Proud Boys.
These grown men, who seem rather fond of referring to themselves and each other as “Boys”, have engaged nationally in acts of violence against minority communities, are vocal Islamophobes, rabidly anti-immigration, support austerity economics, transphobia, pro-imperialism, and pro-colonialism, which led to being classified as a hate group by SPLC.
Part of the PB “rebranding” is to deny that they are white supremacist fascists; instead, they are claim to be “Western Chauvinists”.
Colorado members of the Proud Boys frequently align themselves with other white nationalist groups in Colorado, including the Three Percenters, TPUSA and the now disbanded Traditionalist Workers Party. It should also be noted that Proud Boys and affiliates fought side-by-side with fascists at the August 2017 “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville, which resulted in 35 people being injured and the murder of Heather Heyer.
